How do I get started?

Please contact Amanda by phone or email for a free 15-minute consultation to determine if Social Butterfly Speech and Language is a good fit for you. If you decide to move forward with services, you will need to fill out new client forms prior to your first visit.

Do you accept insurance?

No. Social Butterfly Speech and Language is considered an out of network provider. Some insurance plans may reimburse for certain services. It is recommended that you contact your insurance company directly to inquire about reimbursement. Amanda will provide you with detailed diagnostic and procedure codes for you to submit to your insurance.

How is payment arranged?

Payment is due at the time of service. The following payments are accepted at this time: Zelle, Venmo, cash, or check. Please contact us to find out more about the cost of services.

How long are therapy sessions?

Therapy sessions are 45 minutes long. However, other session lengths may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Does my child need an evaluation prior to starting therapy?

A formal evaluation is not required. Amanda will use the first session to collect informal data as a baseline for treatment. If your child has an IFSP or IEP, please share that with Amanda to make sure treatment goals and objectives are aligned. If your child has not had a recent evaluation (within the past 12 months), an updated formal evaluation may be recommended.

Where is your office located?

The office is located in Amanda's home on Upton Street, about a 10-minute walk from Rockville Town Square. You may park anywhere on the street and there is a separate entrance leading directly to the office space located around the side of the house. The exact address and directions will be shared directly with clients to protect Amanda and her family's privacy.
